Self-compacting concrete, commonly known as SCC, is recognized as an innovative solution in the construction industry that offers the ability to fill molds without mechanical compaction, enhancing the quality and strength of concrete structures. In an effort to improve environmental sustainability, this study examines the use of bottom ash, a waste product from coal combustion in power plants, as a substitute for fine aggregate in SCC. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of bottom ash on the compressive strength of SCC and to determine the optimal percentage of its use to achieve maximum compressive strength. This research was conducted through experimental methods in the laboratory, using bottom ash as a replacement for fine aggregates in various percentages (0%, 10%, 15%, and 20%). Tests were performed on cylindrical concrete specimens with dimensions of 15 x 30 cm at the ages of 7, 14, and 28 days. The concrete mix design was conducted according to the SNI 03-6468-2000 method to ensure accurate proportions. Compressive strength tests were carried out using a Compression Testing Machine to measure the mechanical performance of SCC with different bottom ash variations. The results indicate that the use of bottom ash as a replacement for fine aggregates in SCC positively affects the compressive strength of the concrete. At 28 days, the concrete mix with 15% bottom ash showed a significant increase in compressive strength compared to the concrete without bottom ash. The mix with 20% bottom ash also yielded good results, though slightly lower than the 15% mix. The use of bottom ash not only enhances the mechanical performance of the concrete but also offers an environmentally friendly solution by utilizing industrial waste, reducing pollution, and lowering concrete production costs without compromising quality.
