Floods are natural disasters that occur when the water level in rivers or drainage systems rises and exceeds their capacity, causing water to overflow into surrounding areas and lead to flooding. Floods are caused by many factors, including natural and human factors. Floods result in significant damage and negative impacts, both economically and socially. This problem has inspired the idea of developing a flood monitoring and prediction system using Internet of Things (IoT) technology, incorporating fuzzy logic to predict and provide early warnings of potential floods. The working concept of this system involves using the Ultrasonic HC SR-04 sensor to measure the water level from the river surface, the YL-83 sensor to measure rainfall, and the Turbidity sensor to measure the turbidity of the river water. Once all the data is collected and sent to the ESP32, the data is processed using the fuzzy Tsukamoto method, which calculates the percentage likelihood of a flood occurring. The data is then automatically displayed on an LCD and sent to Blynk for real-time monitoring, showing information such as the water level, rainfall, flood potential, and flood status.
