The purpose of the study was to identify fauna (insect pests and natural enemies) that interact with various upland rice cultivars specific to Riau Province and to evaluate the resistance of various upland rice cultivars specific to Riau Province to OPT. The study was conducted in Pangkalan Baru Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. The duration of the study was 9 months, starting from February to October 2022. The design used was a Non-Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), with 11 upland rice cultivars (Kalpatali Rambah Hilir, Seperak, Sikuning, Sisungke, Jangkar, Durian, Lokun, Kalpatali Rambah Samo, Red Napal, White Napal, Kuok and Silobah) treatments. The study was repeated 3 times. The results of the study showed that all 11 cultivars were resistant to dominant OPT. OPT insects in the vegetative phase were dominated by stone javelina (Scotinophara coarctata), green grasshopper (Oxya serville), stink bug (Leptocorisa sp), grasshopper (Atractomorpha crenulata), black javelina (Leptoglossus gonagra). In the generative phase, it was dominated by stone javelina (S. Coartata), green grasshopper (O. serville), stink bug (Leptocorisa sp), grasshopper (Atractomorpha crenulata) and green ladybug (Nezara viridula). The 11 cultivars were also tolerant to plant pathogens. Where the results of laboratory analysis of 2 samples of sick plants were positively infected with Spot disease (Curvularia sp) and Sheath Blight (Rhizoctonia solani), but the percentage and intensity of both attacks did not significantly affect the 11 cultivars tested. The results of the regression analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the percentage of plants attacked and the high intensity of attacks, while plant height had no correlation with the percentage of plants attacked and the intensity of attacks of the two diseases. The results of the agronomic component study showed that the 11 upland rice cultivars tested were significantly different in terms of plant height, panicle emergence time of 50%, plant height, production and percentage of plants lodging.
