The appointment of Village officials is still a problem in Village government because there are still violations of the provisions on the rules for accepting Village officials so that they do not meet the requirements and affect the performance capabilities of Village officials. Kuala Kanal Village has not yet fully recruited Village officials according to applicable regulations starting from age and education level. The successful implementation of recruitment of Village officials in Kuala Kanan Village cannot be separated from the formation of Communication, Resources, Disposition and Bureaucratic Structure. The aim of this research is to determine the factors and obstacles in implementing recruitment of village officials at the Kuala Kanal Village Office, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Discussions on recruitment of Village officials in Kuala Laluan Village have not been carried out optimally This is because socialization has not been carried out to prevent the community from accepting prospective Village officials, and written tests and interviews have not been carried out for each prospective Village official as well as the lack of cooperation between the Implementation Team for recruitment of Village officials and the Village head in accepting prospective Village officials. The researcher's suggestion is that the Village Government should conduct outreach regarding the acceptance of prospective Village officials through advertisements at the village office or witnessed directly by the community. It is best for the Village Head to collaborate with the Village apparatus selection recruitment team to determine prospective Village officials who meet the requirements, the recruitment team for selecting Village officials should set a written test and interview for each candidate for Village officials, and the sub-district head should conduct a written test for prospective Village officials so that their abilities can be accounted for.
