Oil palm plants are one type of agricultural crop that occupies an important position, especially in the plantation sector. One of the factors that influences the growth and production of oil palm is the fertilization method and land topography during planting. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of fertilization methods and land slope on nutrient absorption in oil palm plantations. This research was conducted at the Oil Palm Plantation Experimental Garden owned by the Islamic Education Institute Foundation, Riau Islamic University, Baru Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The research was carried out for 3 months starting from November to January 2024. The research design used was a factorial randomized block design (RAK). Consisting of two treatment factors and three replications. The first factor is the fertilization method (M) with two treatment levels, namely the spreading method and the immersion method. The second factor is the slope of the land (K) with three treatment levels, namely K0, K1 and K2. With three replications and there are 18 experimental units. The parameters observed were topographic characteristics, physical and chemical analysis of the soil, analysis of plant nutrients, weight of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), absorption of N, P, K nutrients by plants. The last observation data was analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If the calculated F obtained is greater than the F table, then it is continued by conducting a further test of Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at the 5% level. The results of the study showed that the effect of interaction between fertilization methods and land slope on nutrient levels and absorption of N, P, K nutrients in oil palm plantations was not significant on N, P, K plant nutrients, oil palm FFB weight and absorption of N, P, K nutrients. The main effect of fertilization methods on nutrient levels and absorption of N, P, K nutrients in oil palm plantations was not significant on N, P, K plant nutrients, oil palm FFB weight and absorption of N, P, K nutrients. The main effect of oil palm plantation land slope on nutrient levels and absorption of N, P, K nutrients was not significant on N, P, K plant nutrients, oil palm FFB weight and absorption of N, P, K nutrients.
