This study aims to describe the role of the Camat in Fostering the Implementation of Village Government in Rumbio Jaya District, Kampar Regency. The problems in this study are: 1. The sub-district head does not carry out administrative guidance to the village, it can be seen that information on village administration is not conveyed in every fiscal year. 2. The lack of the role of the sub-district head in providing guidance to the village government, both the village head and the BPD in the form of motivation and guidance in making village regulations. 3. The lack of training provided by the sub-district in fostering village governance, seen from the three villages that did not receive optimal training. The concept used in this research is the concept of coaching proposed by Thoha, the indicators in this study include, Giving Guidelines, Giving Guidance, Giving Directions, Providing Training, Supervision. This study uses qualitative research methods with data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. From the results of this study, it can be seen that the guidance carried out by the Rumbio Jaya Camat in this case has been carried out by the Camat to all villages in the Rumbio Jaya Subdistrict, by holding a meeting in the hall of the Rumbio Jaya Camat Office, explaining what are the duties and functions of the village head in administering the government. village. The inhibiting factor in this research is what causes the weakness or deficiency of the Camat Rumbio Jaya, namely in carrying out direct supervision activities. Obstacles that occur in carrying out coaching activities to improve the performance of the implementation of village government are in terms of funds or costs for carrying out activities considering the absence of a special budget in the implementation of coaching and holding activities that involve improving village government performance.
