An Analysis Of Students’ Perception In Comprehension English Analytcal Exposition Text By Eight Grade Students Of Smp Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru

This research aims to investigate the an analysis of students’ reading comprehension in english analytical exposition text at SMP Muhammdiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The descriptive qualitative method used by used by reasearch. The sample of this research was 74 students of eight grade students. The data collection procedures used were quetionnaires. The results of this research were processed by using likert scale to analyze questionnaire. The results shows that majority of students agree and neutral on problems that occur in learning process. The analysis of students’ reading comprehension was high in all indicator of research. The percentage of each indicator which the curriculum was 64.33% (neutral), the teaching methods was 72.24% (agree). The assessment methods was 67.03% (agree), and the school and home environment was 61.00% (neutral). The researcher conclude that it is important to be aware on the teaching ang learning process to teach the students.
