Song lyrics are a means of conveying messages orally with delivery in different forms with tones and accompanied by rhythm and music. In the song there is meaning, meaning is the purpose or meaning of a word, phrase, and clause. The problem of this research is how the types of meaning contained in the song lyrics in Nadin Amizah's Happy Birthday album. This study aims to determine the types of meaning contained in the song lyrics in Nadin Amizah's Happy Birthday album. The theory used in this study is the theory of Chaer (2009). This study used content analysis methods, documentation data collection techniques, observing and recording, content analysis data analysis techniques, and data validity triagulation techniques. The data of this study are song lyrics that contain types of meaning in Nadin Amizah's Happy Birthday album. The data source for this research was the song lyrics on the Happy Birthday album by Nadin Amizah, which totaled 10 songs and found 58 song lyrics data. The results of the study found 12 data on grammatical meaning, 13 data on referential meaning, 29 data on non-referential meaning, 11 data on connotative meaning, term meanings were not found at all in song lyrics, 1 data on idiomatic meaning, 3 data on proverb meanings, 14 data on figurative meaning. The conclusion of this study is that the most dominant non-referential meaning is found in song lyrics.
