Analisis Komparatif Usahatani Cabai Keriting dengan Metode Panen Muda dan Panen Tua di Kecamatan Ujung Batu Kabupaten Rokan Hulu Provinsi Riau

Rokan Hulu Regency is one of the regencies located in Riau Province with a potential chili-producing area. Chili is a commodity with a high demand in Rokan Hulu Regency. The purpose of this study is to analyze: (1) how the characteristics of farmers, (2) cultivation technology (3) costs, production, income and efficiency and (4) comparison between costs, production, income and efficiency of curly chili farming with young harvesting and harvesting methods. in Ujung Batu District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The research method used is the survey method. The number of samples of young harvested curly chilies were 15 farmers and samples of old harvested were 25 farmers using purposive sampling technique (deliberately). The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative using SPSS. Based on the data analysis conducted, (1) The average age of old harvest curly chili farmers (51 years) is lower than that of young curly chili farmers (54 years). The education level of young harvest curly chili farmers (SMA) is higher than that of old harvest curly chili farmers (SMP), meaning that young harvest curly chili farmers are more receptive to innovation in farming. Young harvest curly chili farmers (16 years old) take longer to cultivate than old harvest curly chili farmers (14 years). Young harvest curly chili farmers (3 people) have more family responsibilities than old harvest curly chili farmers (2 people). (2) The farming technology of young harvested curly chili and old harvested curly chili in Ujung Batu District is not in accordance with farming theory, such as; fertilizer intensity and dose. (3) The total cost of young harvested curly chili farming in Ujung Batu District is Rp. 9.744.277,- Ha/MT. with a production of 840.66 Kg/Ha/MT. The gross income of farmers in young harvest curly chili farming is Rp. 21,016,667,- Ha/MT. and net income is Rp. 11.272.390,- Ha/MT. Young harvested curly chili farming in Ujung Batu District produces an RCR of 2.07. The total cost of farming old harvest curly chili in Ujung Batu District is Rp. 16,931,662,- Ha/MT with a production of 1,904.4 Kg/Ha/MT. The gross income of farmers in the old harvest curly chili farming is Rp. 61.992.000,- Ha/MT and net income is Rp. 45,060,338,- Ha/MT. Efficiency in farming on old harvest curly chili farming in Ujung Batu District resulted in an RCR of 3.58. (4) There are significant differences in costs, production, income and efficiency in farming curly chilies for young and old harvests in Ujung Batu District, Rokan Hulu Regency.
