Education insurance is an important form of financial protection for individuals in ensuring the future education of their children. In practice, insurance companies are prohibited from delaying or defaulting on claim payments. However, there are cases where insurance companies fail to fulfill their obligations to pay education insurance claims, resulting in financial losses for policyholders. This is currently happening with AJB Bumi Putera Pekanbaru, which is facing issues in the payment of claims to its policyholders. This thesis presents several problem formulations: First, what is the extent of AJB Bumi Putera Pekanbaru's responsibility for the failure to pay education insurance claims. Second, what are the dispute resolution methods for the responsibility of AJB Bumi Putera Pekanbaru in the event of a failure to pay education insurance claims. The research method used in this study is empirical juridical. Considering its nature, this research is descriptive. The objectives of this study are to determine the extent of AJB Bumi Putera Pekanbaru's responsibility for the failure to pay education insurance claims and to understand the forms of dispute resolution for the responsibility of AJB Bumi Putera Pekanbaru in the event of a failure to pay education insurance claims. The results of this study show that one form of AJB Bumi Putera Pekanbaru's responsibility is through the implementation of a policy called "Penurunan Nilai Manfaat" (PNM) or Benefit Value Reduction, which allows the joint effort to continue while policyholders receive delayed claim payments with reduced value. Dispute resolution in insurance can be achieved through two methods: non-litigation and litigation.
