Pengaruh Lama Waktu Perendaman Menggunakan Madu Sialang terhadap Jantanisasi Ikan Cupang (Betta Sp)

This research was conducted for 35 days in October 2022 at the Laboratory of the Fish Seed Center (BBI), Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effect of soaking time using sialang honey and to determine the best soaking time to increase the maleization of betta fish (Betta sp). The method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely: P0 = Control (without immersion), P1 = soaking for 20 hours, P2 (22 hours), P3 (24 hours) and P4 ( 26 hours). The betta fish used comes from a betta fish seller located on Jalan Pasir Putih. The container used is a jar with a capacity of 10 liters of 15 pieces. From the results of this study, the best successful male betta fish at P3 (24 hour soaking) was 83.33% and the survival percentage was 80.00%. The results of water quality measurements were temperatures ranging from 28-30oC, pH 6.5-7, DO 4.4-5.7 mg/L and ammonia 0.04-0.60 mg/L.
