Peran Koperasi dalam Unit Usaha (Studi Kasus : Kopsa Usaha Maju Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Tengah Kabupaten Kampar)

The existence of cooperatives is needed to increase the success of smallholder oil palm plantations through the application of good agricultural practices and good management practices. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of cooperative members and businesses, the role of cooperatives in providing agricultural production facilities, marketing of Fresh Fruit Bunches, and providing credit. The research method used is a survey method. The research sample was 45 samples. The analytical tool used is descriptive qualitative analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of the sample were dominated by male members, the average age was 50-60 years, junior high school education level, the length of experience in Kopsa was between 6-10 years and the number of dependents was 3-4 people. The role of cooperatives in providing agricultural production facilities that meet the needs and provide many benefits of providing credit to farmers in Kampar Kiri Tengah sub-district so that it is useful for local members. The role of cooperatives in marketing Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), namely the marketing channel for Palm Oil, there is one marketing channel, namely farmers to cooperatives and cooperatives to PKP. Marketing margin of IDR 301.80 The role of cooperatives in providing credit for cooperative members to assist oil palm farmers, especially Village Unit cooperative members in meeting the needs of their farming business model or social life as well as information and consideration for (KUD) in determining good performance policies for the welfare of members.
