The research objective was to determine the effect of dishwashing waste and paper ash on the growth and yield of red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. Rubrum). The research was carried out at the Riau Islamic University agro-tourism which lasted for 6 months from April to September 2022. This study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of two factors. The first factor was dishwashing waste which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 375, 750 and 1,125 ml per polybag. The second was paper ash which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 25, 50, 75 g per polybag resulting in 16 treatment combinations consisting of 3 replications to obtain 48 experimental units. In each experimental unit there were 8 plants and used as sample plants so that the number of plants was 384 plants. Parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, number of tillers per clump, weight of wet rhizomes per clump, dry rhizomes weight per clump and harvest index. The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of dish washing waste and paper ash had a significant effect on plant height, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, number of tillers per clump, wet weight of rhizomes per clump, dry weight per clump and harvest index. The best treatment was a combination of 1.125 ml/polybag dishwashing waste and 75 g/polybag paper ash. The main effect of dishwashing waste was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was a dose of 1.125 ml/polybag. The main effect of paper ash has a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment is the dose of 75 g/polybag.
