Studi Terhadap Kota Pekanbaru Sebagai Kota Layak Anak Tahun 2018-2020

Child Friendly Cities provide children's rights to live so that children can develop and be protected from acts of discrimination, However, the government's activities in running child-friendly cities have not been carried out optimally where there are still many children whose rights to life have not been fulfilled. There are still many acts of violence in the city of Pekanbaru, so that childfriendly activities in the city have not been felt by the wider community. The purpose of this study is to identify and provide an overview and find out the inhibiting factors of Pekanbaru City as a Child Friendly City in 2018-2020. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The discussion that Pekanbaru City as a Child Friendly City for 2018-2020 has not been implemented optimally, especially child violence which is known to still occur a lot and there has been no special handling by the Pekanbaru City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service. The author suggests that the Pekanbaru City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service conduct socialization evenly regarding handling child violence, work together with the community in handling children, provide shelter in handling children and provide data collection on children affected by violence and their handling.
