Penerapan Sanksi Terhadap Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan yang Melarikan Diri pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II A Tembilahan (Studi Kasus Lapas Kelas II A Tembilahan Tahun 2021)
Implementation of convict coaching in Correctional Institutions is a way out to foster and also to return convicts to the right path. It is hoped that the deviant behaviors they did before will not happen again and they can turn into well-behaved members of society. This research was carried out with the main issues namely: 1) How is the implementation of the implementation of sanctions against prisoners who run away in class II A Tembilahan prison. 2) What are the efforts made by the penitentiary in preventing inmates from escaping at Lapas II A Tembilahan. This study uses a juridical approach to sociological/sociological juridical research, namely a research approach that studies the influence of society on law, the extent to which the symptoms that exist in society can influence law and vice versa and departs from the paradigm of empirical science. The results of this study explain that the implementation of the application of sanctions against inmates who run away is by imposing severe disciplinary sanctions in the form of being placed in an exile cell for 2 (two) times 6 (six) days and not being given their rights in the form of, remission , family visitor leave, parole leave, assimilation, pre-release leave and parole. Based on research on the efforts made by Correctional Institutions in preventing correctional inmates from escaping, namely by taking an approach, inmates are given their rights, holding coaching and coaching employees in the form of physical, mental and discipline coaching.
