Smuggling, especially in the field of imports, is very common because many goods that want to be imported enter Indonesia but in the wrong way. This is done to get a big profit. In Indonesia, the problem of smuggling used goods often occurs in Indragiri Hilir Regency considering that this area is a border area with neighboring countries such as Malaysia. Apart from that, the smuggling of used goods cannot be separated from supervision by the customs and excise authorities. This can be seen from the large number of used goods that enter Indragiri Hilir Regency and are traded. The main problem in this research is: How is the law enforcement of the crime of smuggling used goods by the Indragiri Hilid Police? The research method used in this research is research: sociological research which is carried out by means of data collection methods that contain a list of questions. And this research is analytical descriptive in nature, namely describing and analyzing the problems raised with the aim of describing concretely the Law Enforcement of the Criminal Act of Smuggling of Used Goods by the Indragiri Hilir Police Importers who violate the provisions of the prohibition as referred to in Article 2 are subject to administrative sanctions and other sanctions in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations. The arrest and confiscation of imported used clothing from the warehouses of the used clothing sellers brought a separate dilemma for traders as small entrepreneurs.
