In the current era, information has become a necessity for the public to know what is happening around them. With this information, people can take action or decisions based on the information they receive. Obtaining information requires media in its dissemination, media such as newspapers which are a source of information for the community because the information is conveyed simultaneously and broadly, so that the large number of people who need information keeps them going, in the current digital era the proliferation of new media such as online media is become a competitor for the newspaper, making the existence of the newspaper began to be disturbed. So many media companies have to end their publishing. But that didn't completely happen to Radar Selatan, they were still able to maintain their existence in today's digital era. In this research, the formulation of the problem is how is the existence of Radar Selatan in the current digital era and how is Radar Selatan's effort in maintaining its existence. Using the Media Ecology theory put forward by Dimmick and Rohtenbuhler to see the efforts made by Radar Selatan. There are 3 sources of life support for the media: types of media content (types of content), types of target audience (types of audience) and capital (capital). The research approach is descriptive qualitative by collecting data from observation, interviews and documentation. Describe, explain in depth all the problems described in the subject matter firmly and clearly, so that this research can be understood easily. Based on the research results obtained by observation and interviews, it can be seen that the newspapers published by Radar Selatan still exist in today's digital era. By strengthening data and displaying attractive graphics to read while maintaining a journalistic code of ethics in news writing. Then, Radar Selatan was able to build good relations with the community and government and private agencies.
