Pengaruh Campuran Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) dan Semen Sebagai Bahan Stabilisasi Tanah Lempung terhadap Nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR)
Soil is a crucial component in the construction process. In civil engineering industry, the quality of the underlying soil used as the foundation of a construction plays a vital role in providing strong support. To ensure optimal load-bearing capacity, the clay soil used in this study was obtained from Jl. Siak II, Masjid Raya Provinsi Riau, Pekanbaru, which is known to have issues with soil bearing capacity, leading to tilting of the structures built on it. The soil samples will undergo a stabilization process using a mixture of Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) and cement as stabilizing agents. Therefore, the objective of this research is to conduct testing on the utilization of SBE and cement as stabilizing materials to improve the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value of the clay soil. Soil stabilization methods are employed to improve the conditions of natural soil. A desirable soil bearing capacity is typically defined as having laboratory test results with a value greater than 6% and field test results with a value greater than 3%. In this study, the selected mixture variation consists of 22.5% Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) and 10% cement. Additionally, different curing durations of 0, 4, and 7 days, as well as a soaking period of 4 days, are utilized.
