Sistem Informasi Akademik Siswa Berbasis Web pada SMK Negeri 2 Penerbangan Bukit Batu Bengkalis

SMK Negeri 2 Penerbangan Bukit Batu is a vocational high school located in the Bengkalis regency and is the second aviation school in Sumatra Island with public status. Despite being established in 2014, the school currently lacks an Academic Information System, rendering the existing systems ineffective. Processes such as student records, teacher data, subject data, class data, scheduling, and assessments are managed manually. This research aims to comprehend the current system, conduct an analysis, design a new system, and implement an Academic Information System at SMK Negeri 2 Penerbangan Bukit Batu. The research methodology involves data collection through interviews with the school authorities, system requirement analysis, system design, and subsequent implementation of the designed system. The student academic information system is constructed using the Laravel framework and developed using the waterfall methodology. The outcomes of this study are expected to contribute significantly to the academic management of SMK Negeri 2 Penerbangan Bukit Batu. The introduction of a web-based student academic information system is anticipated to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in managing student academic data. This research endeavor ultimately strives to offer a positive contribution to the educational landscape.
