The practice of lending and borrowing is between the community (muqtaridh) and the lender (muqridh), and it is agreed that an additional loan transaction will be carried out at the time of repayment of the loan from the community (muqtaridh), regarding the addition of the loan made at the time of the contract. Of course this is prohibited in Islamic law because any debt that takes advantage of it is usury. The formulation of the problems in this study are: (1) How is the practice of borrowing and borrowing money in the Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. (2) What is the Review of Islamic Law on the Practice of lending and borrowing money in the Pangkalan Kerinci sub-district, Pelalawan Regency. The author uses empirical or sociological legal research methods, namely direct field research. The nature of this research is descriptive, namely to provide an overview and analyze statements clearly and in detail. Data collection tools through interviews and observation. In this field study the data were then analyzed using qualitative methods with the deductive method used to draw conclusions. Based on the results of the study, the Muslim community in Terusan Baru Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, in their lending and borrowing practices, what they often do is borrow money, where they often borrow money from several people in the village or they often refer to loan sharks. , people who lend, namely loan sharks and mobile cooperatives and people who receive loans, namely the Muslim community in the village of Terusan Baru, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. In this loan agreement, it is promised that if the borrower does not pay, the collateral will be confiscated. Furthermore, the lending process is with mobile cooperatives where in the borrowing process there are similarities with moneylender services where the borrower (the people of Terusan Baru village) if they want to make a loan they say directly to the mobile cooperative. healthy or not crazy and can distinguish between good and bad things.
