Franchising or what is known as a franchise is a business based on an agreement between two parties, namely the franchisor (the owner of the rights) and the franchise (who is given the right) to run the franchisor's business according to a system determined by the franchisor. The franchise agreement contains a set of terms, conditions, and commitments made and desired by the franchisor for the franchisees. The franchise agreement contains provisions relating to the rights and obligations of the franchisee, location requirements, training provisions, fees to be paid by the franchisee to the franchisor, provisions relating to the length of the franchise agreement and its extension, as well as other provisions governing the relationship between the franchisor and the franchisee. As for the formulation of the problem in this study are; how is the implementation of the kalgarys daily franchise agreement in Pekanbaru based on applicable law? And what are the rights and obligations of the parties in the franchise agreement at Kalgarys Daily Pekanbaru? This type of research is a sociological legal research by means of a descriptive survey which the author conducted directly to obtain the concrete data needed by applying an interview data collection tool The results of this study indicate that in the process of implementing the franchise agreement at Kalgarys Daily Pekanbaru which is located at Jl. Mustika Pekanbaru according to the Civil Code is carried out in such a stage, starting with an offer from the franchisee to the franchisor. The offer is poured into an agreement made in writing and signed by both parties to the agreement. These rights and obligations are reciprocal. That is where the obligations of one party become the rights of the other party. Likewise, obligations on the other party become rights on the other party. The rights and obligations in the franchise agreement are made in accordance with the agreement of the parties. The priority in carrying out the rights and obligations of the parties in the franchise agreement is the issue of payment for the license used.
