Children are a vital component of a nation because they represent the younger generation, a crucial social force for the growth of a nation They have the responsibility to ensure the mental and physical well-being of every country Young people, who are also susceptible to committing crimes in public life Crime is illegal behavior prohibited by laws and regulations It can occur anywhere, anytime, and with its development, currently various types of theft, Human trafficking, domestic violence, and many other crimes do not begin in that manner but eventually occur due to deviant behavior that does not adhere to established rules, such as theft Theft is a deviant behavior that violates the provisions of the criminal law code It has been regulated in articles 362 of the Criminal Code to article 367 of the Criminal Code. Violent theft offences that have been regulated in article 365 of the Criminal Code which contains theft with the threat of violence against two-wheeled motor vehicles committed by children. This crime still occurs in the Tualang Police area. There are about 2 cases and 3 perpetrators handled by the police. With the emergence of this case, the author is interested in studying more deeply a scientific work. The formulation of the problem in this research is what factors cause incidents of motor vehicle theft with violence committed by children in the jurisdiction of Polsek Tualang And how does the Polsek Tualang police handle cases of theft with violence. The author chose an empirical research method, which involves collecting data through direct observation of research subjects to closely understand their activities In data collection, the author interviewed several respondents, namely: the criminal investigation unit chief, investigators, and one of the perpetrators. From the research results that the author obtained, there are several factors causing perpetrators to commit crimes: economic factors, environmental factors, and peer influence As for the efforts undertaken by the police, they include both repressive and preventive measures One of these measures is providing advice to students and the community to always be cautious, as well as conducting regular patrols and processing criminals.
