Tinjauan Yuridis Tentang Tingkat Perceraian di Kecamatan Senapelan di Wilayah Hukum Pengadilan Agama Kota Pekanbaru Tahun 2020

Marriage is the most important act in life, because it is a form of association of human life in social life and the smallest social environment, but more than that, marriage is a legal and religious act. The high divorce rate in Pekanbaru City should be the concern and responsibility of all parties. The Pekanbaru City Religious Court has received, examined, and decided every case that entered the Pekanbaru City Religious Court, especially in the Divorce Lawsuit case which is the highest case, namely 1313 cases in 2017 and continues to increase every year. The problems raised in this study are what are the causes of divorce in Senapelan District, in the legal area of the Pekanbaru City Religious Court and how to resolve divorce cases in Senapelan District, in the Pekanbaru City Religious Court jurisdiction. The research method used is the empirical method. As well as the nature of this research is an analytical description using data collection tools in the form of Questionnaires and Interviews relating to the causes of divorce and the settlement of divorce cases. The results of the study show that the dominant factors that cause the high divorce rate, especially in the Divorce Lawsuit case, are; First, there are as many as 11 respondents answered because of the Dispute factor. Second, 3 respondents answered because of domestic violence. Furthermore, there are 4 respondents who answered because of other factors that led to the Divorce Lawsuit, these factors include: economy, parents, and disputes. The success rate of mediation in divorce cases, especially Divorce Lawsuits at the Pekanbaru City Religious Court, when viewed from the application of mediation has been effective and in accordance with PERMA Number 1 of 2016. However, the results of the mediation that was successfully carried out by the mediator judges still did not show maximum results, especially in lawsuit divorce case.
