Upaya Penanggulangan Kekerasan terhadap Anak di Wilayah Hukum Kota Tembilahan

Children are the gift of God Almighty as well as the foundation and hope of all parents who must be protected. Because in him inherent dignity and rights so that they can live, grow, develop, participate optimally in accordance with human dignity, and receive protection from violence and discrimination. The forms of efforts to overcome violence against children are Efforts to overcome without criminal law (Preventive) and Efforts to overcome with criminal law (repressive). However, efforts to overcome violence against children in the jurisdiction of the city of Tembilahan have not been maximized in carrying out their duties. Besides, there is a lot of violence against children in the city of Tembilahan. The author formulates two problem formulations related to efforts to overcome violence against children in the jurisdiction of Tembilahan City, namely how to overcome sexual violence against children in the jurisdiction of Tembilahan City and what are the inhibiting factors in overcoming sexual violence against children in the jurisdiction of Tembilahan City. In conducting this research, the writer uses the observational research method with the nature of the research, namely descriptive analytical data source derived from primary data, obtained from interviews with respondents and secondary data derived from books, journals, articles, seminar thesis and literature related to the subject matter discussed in the Act. The method of drawing conclusions in this study uses the deductive method, namely by drawing conclusions from general things to specific things. From the results of this study, the authors can conclude that the prevention efforts made by the government and the state in protecting children from sexual violence can be said to be good. But there are still some things that must be considered in order to provide maximum protection to children as we all hope for. Some of the factors that become obstacles include the lack of understanding of the wider community about the responsibility for child protection as mandated by law as well as several obstacles in the field, namely the lack of facilities and infrastructure assistance which results in the existing rules being seen as not working optimally as we like expect.
