Analisis Usaha Agroindustri dan Strategi Pengembangan Usaha Keripik Singkong Upik di Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau
Cassava chips agro-industry is a processing activity of raw cassava into chips. Upik's cassava chips agro-industry business is a micro-scale business that focuses on the food industry, namely cassava chips. Along with efforts to increase business profits from processed snack foods such as cassava chips, it is necessary to analyze agro-industry businesses and business development strategies from Upik cassava chips. This study aims to analyze: (1) Entrepreneur Characteristics and Business Profile (2) The use of production factors, processing, production costs, production, income, efficiency and added value of Upik cassava chips. (3) Upik Cassava Chips Business Development Strategy. This research method was used by a case study on the Upik cassava chip agro-industry business in Rumbai Pesisir District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research was carried out for 6 months from May to October 2022. The determination of respondents was carried out by a census consisting of 3 workers and the cassava chip entrepreneurs themselves. Primary data and secondary data were taken. The type of data used consists of quantitative and qualitative data. The research results show that: 1). employers and workers are in range productive age. Entrepreneur education level was junior high school, with one family dependent, 33 years of entrepreneur experience. This cassava chip business was a micro-scale industrial business. With business capital of IDR 10,000,000.2). Production costs of Rp2.240.553 per production process . The resulting product was 110 kg per production process, gross income per production process was Rp. 4,400,000 and a net income of Rp. 2.159.467,20 per production process. The efficiency of the cassava chips agro- industry was Rp 1.96. The added value generated from the cassava chips business was IDR 6,594/kg with a ratio of 60%. The margin value was IDR. 9,000/kg, direct labor income of 0,98% and Company profits of 72%. 3). The strategy applied to this agro-industry is to use the S-O (Strength and Opportunities) strategy. Provision of various product variants at affordable prices by maintaining products as traditional food so that they are still in demand by consumers.
