The crime of falsifying marriage books is carried out because they do not want other parties to suffer losses such as someone who wants to remarry without having to get permission from his first wife again or other wives. As one of the cases of forgery of marriage certificates was in the case of decision number 281/Pid.B/2021/PN Bkn, a person named T.Razai Bin Marusin entered false information into an authentic deed whose truth must be stated by the deed, namely the marriage book, with the intention of to use the deed as if the statement was in accordance with the truth. As for in this study, there are main problems that will be discussed, namely, the factors causing the Forgery of Marriage Certificates that occurred in the Bangkinang Legal Area and the second is the Judge's Legal Considerations in Imposing Criminal Sanctions Against Perpetrators Participating in Counterfeiting of Fake Certificates in the Decision of Case No. 281/Pid.B/2021/PN Bkn And the purpose of this study is the same as the formulation of the main problem, namely to find out the results of the formulation of the problem made by the researcher. This legal research belongs to the type of survey research (Observational Research). This type of research method is intended to solve problems that exist at the present time by collecting data and compiling or clarifying it, then analyzing and seeing a legal reality in society to then obtain a result. The results of the research that the authors obtained are: The crime of forgery of letters is influenced by several factors including: low level of education and economic factors, environmental factors / residence, a person will be easily influenced by the surrounding environment, because the influence of one's socialization will not be separated from environmental influences, factors The psychological factor that can influence the occurrence of this counterfeiting crime is through the motivation contained in the perpetrator. Combating the Crime of Counterfeiting Marriage Certificates by taking preventive methods, namely actions that are applied to prevent violations in relation to applicable social norms, and by repressive methods, which are actions taken after social deviations occur which aim to restore social life that has been disrupted due to irregularities. by imposing sanctions in accordance with the violations that have been committed.
