Pengaruh Limbah Blotong Tebu dan Kitosan terhadap Pre-Nursery Alpukat (Persea Americana) pada Tanah PMK
This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Air Winter Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru which was carried out for 5 months from November 2023 to March 2024. The research aims to determine the main and interaction effects of sugarcane filter cake waste and chitosan on avocado pre-nursery on PMK soil. This research used a factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors and 3 repetitions. The first factor is the dose of sugarcane filter cake waste with 4 levels of treatment, namely: 0, 100, 150 and 200 g per polybag and the second factor is the concentration of chitosan with 4 levels of treatment, namely: 0.5 ml/L, 10 ml/L and 15 ml /L. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), total leaf area (cm2), stem base circumference (mm), root length (cm) and root volume (cm3). The observation data was analyzed statistically and carried out using the Honest Significant Difference Advanced Test at the 5% level. The research results showed that the interaction of sugar cane filter cake waste and chitosan had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, total leaf area, stem base girth, root length and root volume with the best treatment being a combination of 200 g sugar cane filter cake waste per polybag and 15 ml chitosan per L. The main effect of sugar cane filter cake waste had a significant effect on all growth parameters of avocado seedlings observed with a treatment dose of 200 g per polybag. The main effect of chitosan had a significant effect on all growth parameters of avocado seedlings observed with a treatment concentration of 15 ml/L.
