In developing a palm oil business, it is very promising. In terms of its maintenance, oil palm is usually done by fertilizing, fertilization is a very important factor. The government helps ease the burden on farmers and finally finds a way out of the problem of procuring fertilizers whose prices can be reached by farmers through the subsidized fertilizer program. How is the legal protection given to farmers in the Logas Tanah Darat sub-district to get subsidized fertilizer?. What are the inhibiting factors in implementing legal protection for oil palm farmers as consumers of subsidized fertilizers based on law number 19 of 2013 concerning protection and empowerment of farmers? The research method in this study is an empirical or sociological legal research method. The study takes samples from the population and uses the results of interviews as a data collection tool. Legal protection for farmers to get subsidized fertilizers Based on Law No.19 of 2013 concerning Protection and Empowerment of Farmers, the government is obliged to help farmers in Logas Tanah Darat sub-district, the next protection for farmers is through Agricultural Insurance, In addition, the government provides counseling about agriculture. The implementation of the regulations of Law No. 19 of 2013 has not been properly applied to farmers in the Logas Tanah Darat sub-district. The obstacle for farmers to get subsidized fertilizer is farmers who do not join farmer groups. Farmers do not know that they are members of farmer groups. the stock of subsidized fertilizers available at authorized retailers is sold to individuals who take personal profits, who are clearly not the target of the subsidized fertilizer program.
