Correctional institutions are the final process in the judicial system leading to resocialization. The correctional system is needed to provide guidance to prisoners in accordance with the system and applicable policies related to coaching. The training on making masks at the Class II A prison in Pekanbaru is one of the coaching efforts to prepare them to return to society (social reintegration) which is one of the requirements to get their rights. The success of this program cannot be separated from contributions from various parties, both from the Correctional Institution, third parties who work together to provide training, correctional officers (WBP) and the general public. In this study, there are two formulations of the problem, namely how the implementation of the mask-making independence training program in an effort to realize social reintegration in the Class II A Pekanbaru prison and what are the inhibiting factors in implementing the mask-making independence training program in an effort to realize social reintegration. This research method is a qualitative research method with a descriptive analytical approach and the location of this research is carried out at the Class II A Penitentiary in Pekanbaru. The data used in this study are derived from interviews, questionnaires, literature books, legal journals and laws. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the mask making independence training program is a from of guidance so that the inmates get assimilation has been carried out properly according to the applicable rules of Law Number 12 of 1995, PP 31 of 1999 and PP 32 of 1999 concerning Terms and procedures. Implementation and guidance of correctional residents. The inhibiting factors in the implementation of this program are the lack of coaching officers, limited marketing of the results of the skills, the lack of participation of the inmates in following the coaching stages.
