Pengaruh Penggunaan Perlite Sebagai Subtitusi Sebagian Agregat Halus Pada Campuran Ac-bc Terhadap Parameter Marshall
The large number of heavy vehicles plying land routes in Indonesia makes the roads potholed and damaged. The use of perlite is an alternative as a fine aggregate to improve the quality of the mixture in AC-BC because it contains reactive oxidized silica and can act as a substitute to become a hard and stiff material as a substitute for fine aggregate in the AC-BC mixture which can improve marshall parameters. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of perlite as a partial substitute for fine aggregate in the AC-BC mixture and to determine the marshall characteristics. With variations in the perlite mixture (0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) which produces maximum marshall parameters. The analysis is carried out in the form of sieve analysis tests, specific gravity, making test objects, Marshall tests and Marshall parameter calculations. From the results of the marshall test carried out, it is clear that perlite has an influence on the marshall characteristics. The greater the percentage of perlite used, the VMA, VIM, stability, flow and marshall quotient increase. However, the increase in VIM meets the 2018 Bina Marga Specifications, Revision 2. Only with a 5% variation. In terms of quality, perlite has the potential to replace fine aggregate on AC-BC layered road pavement when combined with an asphalt content of 5.25% with 5% perlite because it has the best marshall parameters that meet the 2018 Bina Marga Specifications, Revision 2.
