In this research, the author raises the problem that is used as research material, namely: Developer's Responsibility towards Buyers (Consumers) in Buying and Selling Houses at Alam Perdana Residence Housing in Pekanbaru City. The aim of this research is regarding the responsibility of the developer (developer) and the implementation of the sale and purchase agreement when a default occurs or an undesirable thing occurs such as a defect in housing that is discovered by the buyer (consumer), as well as what efforts can be made by the buyer (consumer) to ensure the rights they have, and what the responsibility of the developer or developer is in this matter. The research method used is observational research which is carried out using a survey method, namely the author goes directly to the field to conduct interviews to obtain data and collect it, while the nature of the research is descriptive, namely providi ng detailed and clear information regarding the problem being studied. The results of research on the Responsibilities of Developers towards Buyers (Consumers) in Buying and Selling Houses at Alam Perdana Residence Housing in Pekanbaru City, the responsibility carried out by developers is efforts to carry out repairs and justification for damage and defects to the houses they have sold. to buyers or consumers in accordance with applicable regulations, and the developer's weakness is that he does not re-inspect the house that has been built by the contractor so that a problem occurs, and the developer's responsibility is absolute.
