Analisa Penambahan Alat Conveyor pada Mesin Perajang Batang Pisang Terhadap Hasil Cacahan

An increase in various sectors has made equipment or machine facilities and infrastructure increasingly improved for optimal results, one of which is by developing a conveyor device as a booster for the banana stem chopper machine to increase the yield of a production capacity which can later save time and effort in producing it both in large and small capacities. This study aims to analyze the addition of a conveyor to the banana stem chopper to simplify and lighten the work system and increase the effective production capacity of the banana stem chopper. This study used a literature study by testing the speed of the conveyor rotation of 7.6 Rpm, 10.2 Rpm, 13.7 Rpm, then testing was carried out using a banana stem chopper machine, electric motor, pulley, belting, and blades. The materials used were banana stems so that the chopped results are obtained after the addition of the conveyor tool. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the production capacity data is obtained with the addition of the conveyor, namely in the first experiment, the results of the conveyor rotation were 7.6 Rpm with a chopped capacity of 96 kg/hour, in the second experiment the results of conveyor rotation were 10.2 Rpm with a chopped capacity of 264 kg/hour and in the third experiment the results of the conveyor rotation were 13.7 Rpm with a chopping capacity of 270 kg/hour. While the results without using a conveyor in the first experiment which was 630 Rpm obtained chopped results of 254 kg/hour, the second experiment was at 925 rotation Rpm obtained the results of the chopped capacity of 342 kg/hour, and the last experiment at 1115 rpm the results of the chopped capacity were obtained at 374 kg/hour.
