Akuntabilitas Pengelolaan Dana Desa Di Kecamatan Siantan Kabupaten Kepulauan Anambas
The management of village funds is a primary concern in efforts to improve community welfare at the village level, including in Anambas Regency. Village funds, allocated by the central and regional governments, aim to accelerate village development, reduce interregional disparities, and enhance the quality of life in rural communities. However, the effectiveness of village fund utilization heavily relies on its accountability. Accountability in village fund management encompasses transparency, community participation, and rigorous oversight to ensure that the funds are used as intended and provide optimal benefits to the village communities. The research objective is to analyze the Accountability of Village Fund Management in Siantan Sub-District, Anambas Islands Regency based on legal and honesty indicators, processes, programs, policies, and financial aspects. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive. The study involved 12 informants, with the Sub-District Head of Siantan serving as the key informant. The research findings reveal that the Accountability of Village Fund Management in Siantan Sub-District, Anambas Islands Regency is suboptimal and needs further improvement due to insufficient understanding of Accountability and Financial Management. Many village officials and community members still lack adequate understanding of the importance of accountability and sound financial governance, leading to errors in record keeping, reporting, and financial oversight at the village level. Continuous enhancement of training programs and technical guidance for village officials and communities is recommended. Challenges in Law Enforcement. Slow legal enforcement processes and bureaucratic complexity in handling cases of village fund misuse.
