Efektivitas Mediasi Sebagai Upaya Dalam Penyelesaian Perselisihan Hubungan Industrial (studi Di Dinas Tenaga Kerja Dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Riau )
Termination of employment often triggers industrial relations conflicts between workers and employers, and other forms of disputes. This is regulated in Law Number 2 of 2004 concerning the settlement of industrial relations disputes, one of which is non-litigation, namely mediation. Cases that go to the Riau Province Manpower and Transmigration Office for mediation, which are resolved quickly, accurately, fairly, and inexpensively, in fact many are not resolved through mediation. The problem discussed in writing this thesis is how effective mediation is as an effort to resolve industrial relations disputes at the Riau Province Manpower and Transmigration Office and what are the inhibiting factors for the effectiveness of mediation as an effort to resolve industrial relations disputes at the Riau Province Manpower and Transmigration Office. The research method used is an empirical approach , namely research conducted directly to the research location to obtain data from respondents using a data collection tool, namely interviews. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of mediation as an effort to resolve industrial relations disputes at the Riau Province Manpower and Transmigration Office in the 20192023 cases as a whole is less effective and the inhibiting factors are the lack of good faith, the ability of mediators, facilities, lack of outreach , psychological factors, and uncooperative parties.
