The Effect Of Watching Educational Channel In Youtube Towards Students' Speaking Ability At Sman 2 Rengat
Speaking abilities are essential for both interpersonal and productive communication. They make it possible for people to think effectively, express themselves, and have meaningful conversations with other people. The purpose of this study is to find out how students' vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension when they use educational channels, especially YouTube. YouTube Talk with Tifanny is a channel dedicated to education. The experimental research approach was employed in this study, along with quantitative research methodology. The data came from SMAN 2 Kec. Rengat, INHU, which specialised in verbal communication, comprehension, education, and regular practice speaking English. supported by the Tifanny YouTube channel as a tool to encourage fluency in language. In the trial class, the researchers used YouTube Speak with Tifanny. The researcher did not use the media to deliver treatment while the class was in control. Twenty students from X MIPA1's experimental class and twenty from X MIPA2's control class made up the study's sample. The speaking exam, which was used for both the pre- and post-tests, served as the research instrument. The SPSS 29.00 software was utilised for the analysis of the data. The researcher found that applying channel YouTube Speak with Tifanny as media is able to give impact towards speaking indicators are focused on the ability of students in vocabulary, grammar, fluency, comprehension, pronunciation. Hence, the mean score of students speaking ability in experimental class increased from 49.15 in pre-test became 79.15 in the post-test. The researcher got the t-calculated was -29.900, while the t-table based on df 19 was -2.250. Therefore, there was significant effect of Youtube as Media for enhancing students’ speaking ability at SMAN 2 kec. Rengat, Indragiri Hulu
