Danto Village is in Tanjung Bungo Village, Kampa District, Kampar Regency. The problem that occurs in Danto Village is that during the rainy season, this area floods because the water flowing into the drainage channel exceeds the capacity of the channel, causing it to overflow and eventually causing puddles. This research aims to determine the amount of planned discharge for the 5 year return period that is accommodated by the Kampung Danto drainage channel and explain the appropriate drainage design in Kampung Danto. In this research, the method used is the log person type III method with a return period of 10 years to calculate the planned rainfall, and the mononobe method to find the rainfall intensity. Meanwhile, to determine the flow rate, use the rational method. Based on the results of analysis and evaluation of rainfall data for the last 10 years, namely from 2013 to 2022 with the type of land cover per DTA. that the existing channel capacity in Tanjung Bungo village, precisely from Hamlet 2 to Hamlet 3, Danto Village, at several points is not able to accommodate the runoff water discharge in the DTA-3 and DTA-5 areas. To avoid puddles when it rains in Tanjung Bungo village, especially from Hamlet 2 up to hamlet 3 of Kampung Danto, the channel dimensions must be enlarged for DTA-3 (b = 0.50 m, h = 0.60 m) and DTA-5 (b = 0.50 m, h = 0.60 m), because flow discharge is greater than channel discharge. With a suitable design for DTA-3 (b = 0.90 m, h = 0.80 m) and DTA-5 (b = 1.0 m, h = 1.1 m) the flow discharge will flow through the channel there is and avoids waterlogging in Tanjung Bungo village, precisely from hamlet 2 to hamlet 3, Kampung Danto. Efforts to deal with flooding require improvements to drainage channels to reduce flooding in the Tanjung Bungo Village area, especially from hamlet 2 to hamlet 3, Kampung Danto. The current drainage channel cannot accommodate the existing runoff.
