Analisis Biopolymer Berbahan Dasar Kulit Singkong Terhadap Scale Pada Pipa Produksi
Scale is a serious problem in the oil and gas fields. The scale in the production pipeline can lead to a decrease in production flow. Scale reduction is generally overcome by using inhibitors of inorganic substances such as Chloric Acid (HCl) and Ethylene Diamine Tetracetic Acids (EDTA). This study discusses the effects of organic inhibitors on scale reduction. The results of this study showed that the largest percentage of scale reduction occurred at a concentration of 5 grams and a temperature of 60 ?C, while the smallest percentages of scala reduction took place at concentrations of 1.25 g and temperatures of 30 °C. This suggests that the higher the concentration and temperature used, the greater the percentagen of scalereduction that occurred. The study also performed viscosity tests at 30 °C and 60 °C. Viscosity at 30 ?C was 52.59 s, while at 60 °C it was 48.25 s.
