Aplikasi Kontrol Variable Speed Drive (VSD) untuk Mengatasi Masalah High Watercut dan Pencegahan Gas Lock Pompa ESP pada Sumur Bsk062 dan Bsk065
The BSK062 well operates with a flow rate of 1500 BFPD and a water cut of 99%, a large water cut value causes high water production. The “BSK065” well has a bottom well pressure (pwf) of 250 psi and a bubble pressure (Pb) of 150 psi. It is feared that the bottom well pressure (pwf) value which is almost close to the bubble pressure (Pb) value will cause many gas phases to be released from the fluid which, if left unchecked, could cause problems such as gas locks or other gas problems. One solution to overcome high water production and prevent the emergence of gas is to control the production rate. This can be done using the help of a VSD (Variable Speed Drive) on the ESP well. In the BSK062 well, if the pump is operated at a flow rate of 832 BFPD with a frequency of 35 Hz, in theory it can reduce the water cut to 95%, thereby increasing oil production to 40 BOPD which results in an additional oil recovery of 112% from previous production. And in the BSK065 well, if the pump is operated at a flow rate of 1186 BFPD, pwf 308 psi with a frequency of 40 Hz, in theory it can reduce the percentage of gas entering the pump from 9.9% to 7%, thereby reducing the potential for gas locks to occur.
