Studi Perencanaan Pemilihan Metode Pengangkatan Buatan pada Sumur X di Lapangan LV Menggunakan Perangkat Lunak Pipesim

Muhammad Aqif Fachrurrozi - Personal Name; Ayyi Husbani - Personal Name;

Well X is an oil well with a productive formation in the depth interval of 3320 feet - 3326 feet that has been in operation since 2013 and is producing in natural flow. Initially, Well X had a production rate of 347.357 STB/d, which later dropped to 19.76 STB/d. However, after adjusting the tubing size during natural flow, the production rate increased to 137.46 STB/d using a tubing size of 1.5 inches. The research methodology involved secondary data research and literature study related to the selection of artificial lift methods using Pipesim Simulator. Several different artificial lift methods were considered based on their working principles and capabilities, such as Electrical Submersible Pump (72.56 BOPD), Sucker Rod Pump (99.07 BOPD), Progressive Cavity Pump (70.90 BOPD), and Gas Lift (67.06 BOPD). The Sucker Rod Pump (SRP) was chosen to be implemented in Well X because it was able to increase oil production from 4.34 BOPD up to 23 times to 99.07 BOPD and its ability to maintain oil flow below the critical rate thus preventing water coning.
