Pengeluaran Rumahtangga Petani Jeruk Siam Di Kecamatan Pagarantapah Darussalam Kabupaten Rokan Hulu Provinsi Riau
The food needs of Siamese farmer households are increasing and the selling price
of citrus fruits is decreasing due to CVPD disease pests. Food needs are increasing
because food prices are increasing, so that farmers' household expenses are getting
bigger. Citrus fruits affected by pests make the selling price drop because the fruit
becomes dwarfed and tastes less sweet. Declining income affects household
spending. This study aims to: (1) analyze the characteristics of Siamese orange
farmers, (2) analyze the household income and expenditure of Siamese orange
farmers and (3) analyze the factors that affect the expenditure of Siamese orange
farmers in Pagarantapah Darussalam District, Riau Province. The method used is
the survey method. The sampling method uses simple random sampling with a
total of 45 Siamese orange farmers. The data were analyzed statistically
descriptively inferentially with multiple linear regression. The results of this study
are (1) the average age of farmers is 48 years, the average level of education of
wives is 8 years equivalent to junior high school, the number of farmer family
members is relatively small, farming experience is 6-8 years, the average land
area is 11.2 ha. (2) The household income structure of citrus farmers in
Pagarantapah Darussalam District consists of citrus farming, non-citrus farming
(palm oil) and non-farming. The highest source of orange income comes from the
income of orange farming, which is Rp 209,843,404/year and non-ushatani
oranges Rp 44,815,920/year. Meanwhile, the lowest income comes from
nonfarming income with an average income of Rp 15,600,000/year. Household
expenditure of citrus farmers in Pagarantapah Darussalam District consists of food
and non-food expenditures, the largest expenditure of citrus farmers is non-food
expenditure of Rp 27,579,400 per year (60.25%) and food expenditure of Rp.
18,197,174 per year (39.75%). (3)Significant factors affecting the household
expenditure of Siamese orange farmers in Pagarantapah Darussalam District are
household income, number of family members, savings and also assets while the
variable of the education level of orange farmer wives is not significant to the
household expenditure of orange farmers in Pagarantapah Darussalam District.
