Analisis Usahatani Padi Sawah Di Desa Pulau Banjar Kari Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau
Paddy rice production in Banjar Kari Island Village is not yet optimal. This is due to
several factors, one of which is limited land area and quite high fertilizer costs. Their
limitations in the development of cultivation and production technology hinder the
increase in rice production in the area. This research aims to analyze: (1) the
characteristics of lowland rice farmers and the profile of lowland rice farming; (2)
cultivation technology and use of production factors in farming; (3) production costs,
income and efficiency. The method used in this research is a survey method. The
research location was carried out in Banjar Kari Island Village, Central Kuantan
District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The research was carried out for
6 months, starting from November 2023 to April 2024. The sample in this research
was all 20 farmers. The results of this research are (1) Characteristics of farmers
with an average age of 60 years, belonging to the non-productive age group. The
length of education of farmers is 6 years with an average farming experience of 28
years and the average number of dependents in the family of lowland rice farmers is
4 people. (2) lowland rice cultivation in Banjar Kari Island Village is in accordance
with farming standards except for the dosage of Urea fertilizer , SP-36 and KCL.
Lowland rice cultivation in Central Kuantan District has used technology in its
production process. The technology used is in the form of a Hand Tractor machine
when carrying out land processing, the use of a Transplanter machine for planting
and the use of a Combine harvester machine when harvesting. Use of production
factors (a) the area of cultivated land used is 0.7 ha. (b) The seeds used were 25
kg/arable/MT, (c) the fertilizer used was urea 108.47 kg/arable/MT, SP-36 72.92
kg/arable/MT, KCL 48.75 kg/ grapan/MT and organic fertilizer as much as 810
kg/arable/MT. (d) the use of tabas pesticides is 160.14 ml/arable/MT and dharmabas
210 ml/arable/MT. (e) labor requirements are 25.15 HKP/arable/MT. (f) all tools and
machines are used by one unit per farmer. (3) production costs are IDR
7,548,925/farm/MT. Where the largest costs are incurred for labor wages amounting
to Rp. 2,916,754/garapan/MT or around 37.96% of the total cost. The gross income
obtained was Rp. 21,172,400/cultivated/MT with production of 5,293 kg at a GKP
price of 4000/Kg. Net income of Rp. 6,144,536/garapan/MT, the efficiency or RCR
obtained is 1,12, which means that rice farming on Banjar Kari Island, Central
Kuantan District is profitable and worth pursuing.
