Pengaruh Pola Asuh Orang Tua Terhadap Akhlak Santri Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-hamidiyah Rumbai Pekanbaru

This research is motivated by the issues related to the students' morality at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Hamidiyah Rumbai Pekanbaru. One of the problems observed is that some students exhibit a lack of politeness, both towards their peers and their teachers, despite the teachers' continuous emphasis on the importance of courtesy in Islam through various religious programs. Additionally, there are students who display dishonesty during tests and examinations, even though the teachers have explained that honesty is a crucial factor for achieving success. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of parenting styles on the morality of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Hamidiyah Rumbai Pekanbaru. This research employs a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population and sample consist of 60 students, and a saturated sampling technique is used due to the total population being less than 100. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and documentation. The results show that the level of parenting style (X) is 0.7448 or 74.48%, which falls within the 70%-79% interval and is categorized as good. Meanwhile, the level of students' morality is 0.5916 or 59.16%, which falls within the 50%-59% interval and is categorized as poor. The hypothesis testing results, with an F-value of 72.240 and a significance value of 0.000, indicate that there is an influence of parenting styles on the morality of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Hamidiyah Rumbai Pekanbaru. The magnitude of this influence can be seen in the summary table with an R Square value of 0.555 or 55.5%. This shows that 55.5% of the students' morality is influenced by parenting styles, which is considered a fairly strong correlation. Thus, it can be concluded that parenting styles have a significant influence on the morality of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Hamidiyah Rumbai Pekanbaru.
