Hybrid Learning On English Subject During New Normal At Sman 6 Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT Primadana Yahya Ramadhan, (2022). Hybrid Learning on English Subject During New Normal at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. This thesis is a study about to find out the advantages and disadvantages that face and adaptations that they made during the implementation of hybrid learning in teaching English subject during new normal. The objectives of the study are to find out the advantages and disadvantages that teacher of SMAN 6 Pekanbaru faced and to find out the adaptations made by the teacher in implementing hybrid learning in SMAN 6 Pekanbaru during new normal. This research design is qualitative research. The population in this research are all English teachers at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. In accordance with Arikunto's theory, everyone becomes a response if the population is fewer than 100. Moreover, the data collected by conducting questionnaire to English Teacher of SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. Based on the research results, it is known that, on aspect of advantages, the percentages reach 80.7% on agreeable statements. On aspect of disadvantaged, the percentages reach 83.3% on agreeable statements. On aspect of adaptation, the percentages reach 89% on agreeable statements. The adaptation that made or done by SMAN 6 teacher are: Many preparations to provide students with unique materials and creative learning and it waste teacher’s time; Prepare a special time to make a PowerPoint; Have to create interesting content to make students really to understand what they teach; Learn deeper about the current online features that can help them to teach during online session; Think about new strategy; Explore and learn about the newest media in teaching to ensure the online session.
