Analisis Usahatani Porang Di Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau

Porang is a plant that produces carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, vitamins and dietary fiber, so this plant has long been used for food and exported as industrial raw material. This research aims to analyze: 1. characteristics of farmers and the profile of porang farming. 2. Cultivation technology, use of production factors, costs, production, income and efficiency obtained from porang farming in Pekanbaru City. The method used in this research is the survey method. The number of porang business actors sampled in this research was 25 farmers. The results of this research show that: 1. The characteristics of porang farmers in Pekanbaru City have an average age of 49.60 years. Furthermore, the average level of education attained by porang farmers is 10.96 years (equivalent to high school level). Then the farming experience of porang farmers is an average of 2.80 years. Meanwhile, the average number of dependents of porang farming families is 2.88 people. The porang farming profile includes the area of land managed by farmers with an average land area of 3 hectares with the status of owning or privately owning the land. The labor used by farmers comes from within the family and outside the family. 2. Porang cultivation technology is in accordance with farming standards. Use of production factors for porang farming which includes the use of tools with an average depreciation cost of IDR 188.188,80,-/Garapan/MT, labor costs with an average cost of IDR 44.227.600,00,-/Garapan/MT, use seeds with an average cost of IDR 10.414.800,00,-/MT, use of fertilizer with an average cost of IDR 14.521.680,00,-/Arable/MT and use of pesticides with an average cost of IDR 701.000,00,-/Garapan/MT. The production costs obtained were IDR 70.053.268,80,-/Garapan/MT, the revenue obtained by porang farmers in Pekanbaru City was IDR 289.608.000,00,-/Garapan/MT with an average production amount of 70.120 Kg/Garapan /MT, net income obtained is IDR 219.554.731,20,-/MT, Farming Business Efficiency obtained RCR (Revenue Cost Ratio) of 3.77, which means the business is said to be efficient and profitable.
