Peran Guru Dalam Pengembangan Karakter Dan Literasi Siswa Kelas Iii Sd Negeri 10 Tumang Kecamatan Siak Kebupaten Siak
This study aims to identify teachers' role in character and literacy development
among third-grade students at SD Negeri 10 Tumang, Siak District, Siak Regency,
using a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytic methods. Data was collected
through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings show
that teachers play a crucial role as educators and moral and ethical role models,
significantly contributing to the student's character development. Basic literacy,
such as reading and writing, is well-implemented, though digital and financial
literacy remain underutilized. Teachers also act as facilitators in the learning
process, though they have not fully utilized available digital resources. Basic
literacy skills such as reading and writing are well implemented, but financial
literacy is still under-taught in a systematic manner. Additionally, cultural and civic
literacy is being introduced through activities like mutual cooperation.
Triangulation was used to ensure data validity, and the results highlight the
importance of the teacher's role in developing the character and literacy of class
III students at SD Negeri 10 Tumang, Siak District, Siak Regency
