Efikasi Insektisida Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki Terhadap Hama Ulat Bagong (Carea angulata) Dan Interrelasinya Terhadap Predator Sycanus sp.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas Bacillus thuringiensis terhadap mortalitas ulat bagong (Carea angulata) serta interrelasinya dengan predator Sycanus sp. dalam pemangsaan. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Plant Protection, Research and Development PT. Arara Abadi, Perawang, Riau dan di Laboratorium Terpadu Pertanian UIR pada bulan Juli 2024 - Februari 2025. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuh kegiatan penelitian berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa interaksi perlakuan Bacillus thuringiensis dengan konsentrasi 2,25 gr/l dan berbagai instar ulat bagong terutama pada instar II dan III berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat mortalitas hama ulat bagong. Efek sub-lethal Bacillus thuringiensis terhadap ulat bagong yang berhasil survive dan menjadi imago menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan masa hidup imago betina, jumlah periode bertelur, jumlah telur, rerata telur dan persentase menetas telur. Tidak ada preferensi Sycanus sp. dalam pilihan urutan pemangsaan terhadap berbagai instar ulat bagong I – V. Tingkat daya mangsa Sycanus sp. jantan dan betina terhadap kepadatan mangsa ulat bagong instar I dan II terus meningkat saat kepadatan mangsa 5, 10 dan 15 ekor, tapi terjadi penurunan ketika kepadatan mangsa 15 ekor pada instar III, IV dan V. Sycanus sp. tidak menunjukkan preferensi terhadap mangsa larva ulat bagong yang telah terpapar dan yang tidak terpapar Bacillus thuringiensis
