Tickets are a form of evidence of certain violations that are applied in the context of traffic and also road transportation on the basis of a predetermined format, this ticketing process has undergone changes based on the innovation of ticketing on an electronic basis which is commonly referred to as E-Tilang. The city of Pekanbaru, which is included in the jurisdiction of the Riau Police, has now implemented an electronic ticketing process. This research was conducted to find out how criminological analysis of the existence of E-Tilang is in the context of an effort to control traffic violations, using qualitative methods and a descriptive approach to produce findings which are then carried out to analyze the theory of crime prevention strategies which include the primary prevention that is applied is the formulation of Law No. 2 of 2009 concerning traffic, secondary prevention is targeted at people who are at risk of committing traffic violations, tertiary prevention is carried out so that no repetition of traffic violations occurs by providing physical evidence or a ticket and through multimedia messages.
