Gambaran Narcissistic Personality Disorder Pada Mahasiswa Universitas Islam Riau Yang Menggunakan Instagram

This study aims to determine the description of narcissistic personality disorder in Riau Islamic University students who use Instagram. This research is descriptive research with quantitative methods. The sample in this study were 97 respondents with the criteria of being UIR students who posted something about themselves on Instastory or Instagram Feed. The scale in this study is based on the characteristics of Narcissistic Tendencies in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders – Fourth Edition (DSM-IV-TR) of the American Psychiatric Association. The results of this study revealed that the description of narcissistic personality disorder in students at UIR, especially those who use Instagram, it can be seen that of the 97 people who were respondents, it can be seen that most of the respondents felt that their NPD description was classified as moderate. This is shown by the percentage of respondents who are classified as being moderate as many as 77 respondents with a percentage of 79.38%
