Pengaruh Pendekatan Saintifik untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Bidang Studi Fiqih di Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pekanbaru
This research was motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students at Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru. A student needed to have critical thinking skills because these skills could make someone more open-minded and improve their communication abilities. The research problem was to determine the extent of the influence of the scientific approach to improve students’ critical thinking skills in Fiqh lesson at class X Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of the scientific approach to improve students’ critical thinking skills in Fiqh lesson at class X Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru. This type of research was quantitative correlational. The research population consisted of students from classes X 4, X 5, X 9, and X 11. The sample was taken using saturated sampling, which included the entire research population of 100 students. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and documentation. The research results showed that the hypothesis of the influence of the scientific approach on students' critical thinking was accepted with a significance value of 0.000. The extent of the influence of the scientific approach on students' critical thinking was moderate (0.564 or 56.4%). It was predicted that if the scientific approach was enhanced, it would contribute to an increase in students' critical thinking by 0.619 or 61.9%. Therefore, it could be concluded that the results of this research showed that there was an influence of the scientific approach to improve students’ critical thinking skills in Fiqh lesson at class X Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru.
