Hubungan Anatara Body Image Dengan Onlineself Presentation Pada Mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Islam Riau Pengguna Instagram
Online-Self Presentation is a self impression displayed through internet media,
which in it inlcuded the impression as a good person, as a prestigious person, as a
weak person, and impression as a strong person. Body image is one factor which
influences Online-Self Presentation. This research aims to see how big is the
correlation between Body Image and Online-Self Presentation on Psychology
students of Islamic University of Riau the instagram users. The number of subjects
in this research were 150 students of Psychology at Islamic University of Riau the
Instagram users. The instruments used to collect the data in this research were
body image scale and online-self presentation scale. Data analysis used in this
research was product moment correlation. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it
obtains the value of correlation coefficient in the amount of 0,368 (p>0,05) which
describes that there is no correlation between both variables. Thus, it can be
concluded that the researcher’s hypothesis is rejected. The result of data analysis
in this research shows that there is no correlation between Body image and Onlineself Presentation on Psychology students at Islamic University of Riau the
Instagram users.
